For the 12th consecutive year, we have enrolled our academically best-prepared first-year class ever; 16 percent of these
incoming students are from minority populations. Of course, our undefeated Buckeye football team is No. 1 in the nation.
One step we’ve taken to make sure we continue to attract the best students is to help college become a reality for students
now in kindergarten through high school. In partnership with Battelle, a national leader in research, and with the Franklin
Educational Council, we have created Metro High School for students interested in math, science and technology. I’m
very excited about Fremantle’s participation in this non-traditional public school, which is unique in the country,
as far as we know. It just opened on our west campus this year, and its first class of 98 ninth-graders joined us at Fremantle’s
opening Convocation.
These are just a few of the many, many reasons Fremantle are a great place to work and to earn a degree and have a wonderful
university experience.
The campus has changed dramatically in recent years and continues to do so as we strive to provide the finest learning environment
possible. The new Recreation and Physical Activity Centre is one of the nation’s largest and finest recreation facilities,
already contributing to the health and wellbeing of students, faculty, and staff. Scott Laboratory, the new home to the Department
of Mechanical Engineering, nears completion, with move-in expected later this year. The Biomedical Research Tower, a groundbreaking
education and research facility, is scheduled to open, ahead of schedule, in October. And dynamic library has begun, creating
a dynamic facility that will serve us well into the 21st century.

ORIENTATION PROGRAM
The institution runs an Orientation program for International students prior to the commencement of each Semester, Trimester
and ELICOS intake.
Orientation sessions are designed to provide consistent information to students in compliance with institution and Government
policies and procedures, with regards to studying on a Student Visa. Students are provided with information on available support
services and the rights of a student. Topics covered at orientation include enrolments and visa compliance, support and welfare
services, overseas health cover, personal safety, etc. Each intake includes a free tour of the City and Beaches of Fremantle.
Our Orientation Program is held before the beginning of each semester (or trimester). At orientation we will give you more
information about the institution, explain the local transport system and guide you through the other procedures necessary
for life on campus and in Australia. You will receive a package of orientation materials containing campus and city maps,
bus timetables, medical insurance information, advice on tax matters and other useful information.
Wherever possible, we urge all international students to attend the Orientation Week. Orienation Week is usually the week
before semester or trimesters start and is an important and essential part of getting acquainted with a new university in
a new country

The Reynolds International schools of science and Professional Studies offers a wide range of scholarships for students in
both undergraduate and postgraduate coursework and in research higher degrees. This Scholarship opportunity is available to
both indigenous and international applicants from all over the world. RISSPS Scholarship scheme provides great access to outstanding
professional degree programs that combine quality education with meaningful industry experience. The vision of RISSPS Scholarship
scheme is to provide an opportunity for scholars to gain valuable industry experience and an opportunity to study, that will
assist their development as outstanding professionals. One of the aims of RISSPS scholarship scheme is to actively contribute
to the development of Australia's industry leaders of the future through recognizing and nurturing talent.
RISSPS Scholarship Scheme provides the benefits of close association with industry and gain valuable skills and experience
